Avalanche Technology was founded in December 2000 by a group of employees of Phycor, Inc's North American Medical Management Company. These partners have been working together since 1998. Avalanche has been recognized by Microsoft Corporation (Certified Partner), Intel Corporation and Great Plains software, and Source Medical as experts in the application and implementation of their technologies. Avalanche recently broadened it's presence in the healthcare vertical through a strategic investment in and acquisition of Laurence Bishoff and Company, Inc. Bishoff provides medical billing and collections services to physician practices, clinics and hospitals. Laurence Bishoff will continue to serve as President of the firm under a long term agreement. Laurence Bishoff and Company, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Avalanche Technology.
