Autonomous Systems develops autonomous driving systems for city buses. Our core technology, SmartDEPOT™, enables electric buses to move autonomously within depots – without a driver. SmartDEPOT™ combines LIDAR-based 3D perception, multi-source localization, and mission-level control software to deliver full autonomy for low-speed maneuvers such as parking, charging, washing, and line dispatching. The system is fully compatible with existing depot infrastructure and scalable from a single vehicle to an entire fleet. For PTOs, SmartDEPOT™ means measurable operational gains: reduced depot congestion, fewer low-value driver movements, and higher fleet availability each morning. For OEMs, it provides a modular autonomy platform ready to integrate with drive-by-wire architectures. The system is supervised through SmartDEPOT™ Mission Control, a lightweight control centre interface designed for the emerging role of Smartbus Coordinator – one operator managing multiple vehicles simultaneously. Autonomous Systems’ approach is pragmatic: focus autonomy where it’s possible now – in the depot.
