The company Automasjon & Data AS was established on the island of Bømlo in western Norway in 1991. The original business plan was to execute projects within the fields of automation and data acquisition, with a focus on software development. In the period 1991 to 2007 a large number of projects were developed and completed, mainly within two key areas: Data acquisition hardware and software for Metocean data system. A number of these projects have over the years been completed in co-operation with partners such as SimTronix, Nautic Systems and Marintech Automation. A major step forwards occurred in 2008, when the company’s headquarters was moved to Stavanger, and the company evolved into a complete system house.
