Founded by John Syc, MSW, MaIOP, Authentic Perspectives is rooted in authenticity and empowerment. I am dedicated to guiding gifted adults on a transformative journey toward profound internal psychological change. This work seeks to unlock a world of enhanced relationships, community involvement, and an enriched ecosystem of life resonating with their true selves and the world around them. Authentic Perspectives is building a community where gifted adults confidently embrace their unique identities and embark on transformative self-discovery and growth. With fifteen years of psychotherapeutic practice and five years of specialized training on gifted and 2/e-autistic adult issues, Authentic Perspectives offers a unique alternative to the medical model. I use the Theory of Positive Disintegration to guide my approach, providing services specifically for gifted adults. Individual coaching focuses on the following: • Integrating identity after (re)discovering giftedness • Deconstructing existing belief systems for higher levels of personal and moral autonomy • Tackling specific gifted adult issues, including: - Alienation - Perfectionism - Imposter syndrome - Exploring existentialism - Managing, understanding, and channeling overexcitabilities and intensities My strengths lie in my intriguing and approachable methods.
