Australian Volunteers Program Information

The Australian Volunteers Program invites Australians from all walks of life to participate in Australia’s aid program through skilled volunteering. Operating in 26 countries across the Indo-Pacific, the Australian Volunteers program draws on Australia’s expertise to support local organisations to achieve their own development goals. Australian volunteers gain personal and professional growth and develop a deeper understanding of our region. Volunteers typically spend 1-24 months overseas and are supported with airfares, insurance, living allowance and more. Since the 1950s, the Australian Government has supported more than 14,000 Australians to volunteer overseas.
