The University of South Australia (UniSA) is a public research university in the Australian state of South Australia. It is a founding member of the Australian Technology Network of universities, and is the largest university in South Australia with approximately 32,000 students. The university was founded in its current form in 1991 with the merger of the South Australian Institute of Technology (SAIT, established in 1889 as the South Australian School of Mines and Industries) and the South Australian College of Advanced Education (SACAE, established 1856). UniSA is among the world's top universities, ranked in the World's Top 50 Under 50 (universities which are under 50 years old) by both the Quacarelli Symonds (QS) World University Ranking (#29) and Times Higher Education (THE) (#25). It has two Adelaide city centre campuses, two Adelaide metropolitan campuses, and two South Australian regional campuses.
Established in 1892, the Collingwood Football Club has a proud sporting history spanning over 125 VFL/AFL seasons.
The Magpies have won 16 VFL/AFL premierships, and have contested more Grand Finals than any other club. In recent years, the club has expanded well beyond it's proud AFL history and established elite AFL Women's and Wheelchair Football sides.
The club strives to be an industry leader on and off the field and is immensely proud of its athletic success and endless work in the greater community.
The ASC was established in 1985 and operates under the Australian Sports Commission Act 1989. It is governed by a board of commissioners appointed by the Australian Government. The board determines the ASC’s overall direction, decides on actual allocation of resources and policy for delegated decisions, and is accountable to the Minister of Sport and to Parliament.
