AUSTRAC works collaboratively with Australian industries and businesses in their compliance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing legislation. As Australia's financial intelligence unit, AUSTRAC contributes to investigative and law enforcement work to combat financial crime and prosecute criminals in Australia and overseas. We can help you with questions about: • what we do in AUSTRAC and how we work with our industry and partners • your anti-money laundering/counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) obligations We can’t help you with: • tax enquiries – contact the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) • complaints about financial service providers • making sure financial services providers meet their other legal obligations • complaints about scams.
