Texas Performing Arts is the University of Texas at Austin’s performing arts center. One of the largest and most active live arts organizations in the U.S., TPA operates venues on the UT campus including Austin’s largest theatre, Bass Concert Hall. Our presenting programs include Broadway in Austin, the Texas Welcomes series of national touring artists, and a curated Performing Arts Season of international theatre, music, dance, and more. TPA is also a leading producer of new performance, offering creative opportunities to both local artists and national productions. TPA is part of UT’s College of Fine Arts and fulfills the university’s public service, research, and educational missions. More than twenty thousand students throughout Central Texas and across the university experience the arts through TPA’s extensive educational programs.

Houston Grand Opera (HGO) is one of the largest, most innovative, and most highly acclaimed opera companies in the United States. General Director and CEO Khori Dastoor assumed leadership of the organization and responsibility for its strategic vision in 2021. HGO was the only American finalist for Opera Company of the Year in the 2025 International Opera Awards, and the only American company to be nominated for the award three times. In fulfilling its mission to advance the operatic art, to serve the Houston community, and to be a global leader in the future of opera, HGO has led the field in commissioning and producing new works (76 world premieres to date) and in training and nurturing promising young artists and administrators. Founded in 1963, Seattle Opera is a leading American opera company. The company presents the classics of the European repertoire as well as new works of American opera. Seattle Opera performs five operas per year. Seattle Opera strives to produce musically extraordinary, theatrically compelling operas, employing uniformly high quality casts, dramatically aware conductors, and innovative yet textually concerned directors and designers.
