Austdac was founded in 1983 to carry out manufacturing, design, system engineering, and sales in the underground mining industry and local industrial sectors. Today it is one of Australia’s largest suppliers of communications, gas monitoring, I.S. lighting and conveyor control equipment to both Australian and overseas coal mines and general industry. Austdac Pty Ltd is NATA, ANZEx and IECEx accredited, and DII licensed as an approved workshop and manufacturer, providing intrinsically safe underground mining equipment to AS3800, AS/NZS ISO/IEC 17020, ANZEx and IECEx standards. Our manufacturing and repair workshops are managed and overseen by employees qualified under AQF competency standards for the electronics industry. This ensures customers have a reliable service network, staffed by competent and trained employees that support our range of products. We provide services relating to communications, gas monitoring systems, safety equipment, intrinsically safe lighting, power supplies and conveyor control equipment to coal mines, underground mining environments, and general industries in Australia and around the world. Worldwide we have over 2000 conveyor and 100 longwall installations with many in operation for over 15 years.
