At the Wildlife Conservation Society, we harness the power of our zoos and aquarium in New York City and our field conservation work around the globe to save wildlife and wild places. Our model: connecting millions of visitors at our urban wildlife parks with the largest and longest-standing field conservation program. In New York, we run the leading zoo in the US, the Bronx Zoo, as well as the Central Park Zoo, Queens Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo, and the New York Aquarium. We also employ the largest field-based conservation program, operating in more than 50 countries. These two activities are deeply connected and mutually supportive.

Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) is a global leader in conservation, working across iconic Australian locations like the Kimberley, Central Australia, Cape York and Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre. Our mission: The effective conservation of all Australian wildlife and habitats. All of AWC’s actions are underpinned by science, designed to protect and restore Australia’s unique wildlife. Our sanctuaries and partnership areas protect some of the largest remaining populations of iconic threatened species, including the Numbat and Gouldian Finch as well as lesser-known species such as the Nabarlek (a tiny rock-wallaby), Red Goshawk and Greater Glider. AWC recognises that we must work together to create change. Across the country, AWC is privileged to work in partnerships with First Nations communities and Traditional Owners, along with pastoralists, governments, universities, private landholders and other not-for-profits to powerfully extend the reach of conservation. Taronga Conservation Society Australia is a not-for-profit organisation that is committed to securing a future for wildlife. At Taronga Zoo in Sydney and Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo, we lead conservation efforts in the field and participate in regional and global conservation breeding programs to establish insurance populations for species threatened in the wild. We also operate two wildlife hospitals that treat and rehabilitate injured native wildlife, as well as providing best practice health care for the animals at our Zoos. Taronga recognises that the planet’s biodiversity and ecosystems are the life support systems for the health and prosperity of all species including our own. At no time in history has this been more evident, with drought, bushfires, climate change, global pandemics, habitat destruction, ocean acidification and many other crises threatening natural systems and our own future. Whilst we cannot tackle these challenges alone, Taronga is acting now and working to save species, sustain ecosystems, provide experiences and create learning opportunities so that we act together.
