Aurora Yarns Information

Aurora Yarns is a wholesale yarn distribution company and pattern publisher located in beautiful Moss Beach, California. We are dedicated to bringing high-quality yarns in a wide range of colors, styles, fibers, and price points to the American knitting and crochet world. We supply local yarn shops and mail order retailers; we do not sell directly to the public. Please visit our retailers page to find out how to purchase our products. We currently import two European yarn lines: Ornaghi Filati from Italy and Steinbach Wolle from Austria. Each company offers a complete line of yarns for both knitting and crocheting - including an extensive selection of crochet cotton. We are also a major publisher of knitting and crocheting patterns. We currently offer two distinct lines: Aurora Yarns patterns and Effectiveness By Design/Michele Wyman patterns. Michele's patterns are wonderful because they don't specify a specific brand of yarn; rather they are written for a specific gauge (for example, worsted 4.5 st/inch), which gives you much flexibility in choosing yarns. Her patterns are unfussy, universal and extremely well-written with clear instructions. Aurora Yarns' signature line of patterns features designers ranging from superstars such as Melissa Leapman and Lorna Miser along with yarn shop owners and budding new designers.
