The Australian Political Studies Association is the professional association for those teaching and researching political science in Australia. We encourage practitioners, policy makers, students and researchers in cognate disciplines to join the Association. APSA works in association with similar bodies internationally. Membership of APSA includes subscription to the Australian Journal of Political Science(AJPS). APSA hosts an Annual Conference which attracts national and international experts as well as providing a forum for early career researchers and post-graduate students in the field.
ASP is a non-profit professional organization concerned with the scientific advancement of and the clinical knowledge in Periodontology. Its members consist of general dentists, specialist periodontists and dental hygienists, as well as enrolled students in all these professional groups. It has State Branches in NSW, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania. The Branch Societies hold regular scientific meetings among its members and guests. The Federal Society holds a biennial scientific conference with the venue rotated among the capital cities of Australia. It publishes a scientific journal twice a year and pledges support for scientific research through the Australian Periodontology Research Foundation (APRF), and an undergraduate research scholarship scheme.
🌍 At ASERA, we’re more than just a research organisation — we’re a vibrant community of science education researchers, educators, and advocates who are passionate about improving science education for all. Based in Australia and New Zealand, our network spans the globe, drawing together researchers from across the region and beyond to collaborate, share ideas, and inspire change.
Each year, we bring our community together at our annual conference, a space for educators and researchers to engage with the latest in science education research, share experiences, and build meaningful connections. We also publish the Research in Science Education (RISE) journal, a respected platform for sharing innovative research that contributes to better science education.
ASERA is proud of its deep ties with international organisations like the East Asian Association for Science Education (EASE), the European Science Education Research Association (ESERA), the US-based NARST, and the International Council of Associations for Science Education (CASE). These collaborations allow us to bring global perspectives to our work. We also work closely with science teachers through our connections with the Australian Science Teachers Association (ASTA), state and territory science teacher associations, and the New Zealand Association of Science Educators (NZASE).
At the heart of ASERA is our commitment to community. We believe that meaningful change in science education happens when researchers and educators come together, share knowledge, and collaborate toward a common goal. Whether you're a researcher, educator, or advocate, ASERA is here to support you in advancing science education across diverse contexts.
Join our community and be part of a network that’s shaping the future of science education.
