The Augusta - Aiken Warrior Project (AWP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to connect Warriors and their families with resources that improve their lives. A Warrior is anyone who has served our country. This means both active military and veterans of both pre and post-9/11 eras. The families of these Warriors may also be served by AWP. Warriors need not be have been wounded to qualify. AWP's model is bases on developing a proactive relationship with Warriors in order to prevent or mitigate life crisis by holistically addressing issues early and collectively with our partners. Warrior assistance is coordinated by AWP Advocates. Our collaborative relationship with local, state, and national organizations ensures the well-deserved support for our Warriors and their families. AWP works in 13 counties in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) which spreads across both South Carolina and Georgia.
