Augment Information

The Augment Group conducts research on Human Centered Explainable Artificial Intelligence. We study how artificial intelligence systems, including large language models and predictive machine learning models, can be designed to be transparent, fair, and aligned with human values. Our work focuses on explainability, bias detection and mitigation, fairness, uncertainty communication, and human in the loop interaction. We investigate how people understand, question, and meaningfully steer intelligent systems, and how design choices shape trust and responsible use in high-impact domains such as education, healthcare, and public sector innovation.
