We have provided vigilant defense to clients charged with federal crimes for over ten years in the Colorado Springs area. We are The Law Office of Michael Moran. Our lead attorney Mr. Moran is a former municipal court judge and is well reputed in the legal community for his knowledge of criminal law and skillful defense of clients from criminal charges. Many professional people including teachers, doctors, lawyers and public officials have come to us for legal defense. When we take on a case, we learn the circumstances of the charge and get to know the client. We then contact the U.S. Attorney connected to the case and bring to his attention our client's side of the story and mitigating factors. We promote to the U.S. Attorney that the charges be dropped as an indiscretion or at least reduced. As we review the evidence, we are alert for violations of our client's constitutional rights as regards searches and seizures or confessions. Where the police have overstepped we move to suppress the evidence. We are look for other defenses including entrapment and lack of criminal intent. At trial we energetically present our case. We also force the government to prove theirs. We expose gaps in their evidence and creditability problems of their witnesses. We rigorously cross-examine their witnesses to expose inconsistencies and lies. Our purpose is to establish a reasonable doubt requiring acquittal and in this effort we have won many dismissals and acquittals for our clients.
