ATTICA DEVELOPMENT S.A. – L.G.D.O. (LOCAL GOVERNMENT DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION) is a joint venture company created and owned by the four major Municipalities of East Attica Region in Greece, the Municipalities of Kropia, Markopoulou - Mesogaia, Paiania and Spata – Artemidos, following the relevant decisions of the Municipal Councils. ATTICA DEVELOPENT is a strategic development organization for the region with a vision to enhance services to local citizens by improving their daily life through the elaboration of a local Strategic Plan in alignment with the four Municipalities and the joint implementation of the relevant development policies. ATTICA DEVELOPENT is directly cooperating with all the social services and supporting organizations operating under the direct funding and supervision of the four municipalities. These organizations include several non-profit community Grocery & Supermarket stores, several community health clinics and pharmacies, several daily care centres for the elderly, several food distribution facilities to vulnerable groups, several help-at-home supporting teams and are targeting socially vulnerable and handicapped citizens and citizen groups in the region.
