Founder Tzurit Or started Tatte Bakery in 2007, baking in her home kitchen and selling her delicious creations at Boston’s farmers markets. After only one summer, Tatte opened its first brick-and-mortar bakery in Brookline, Massachusetts. It was small but mighty- a welcoming space for the neighborhood to gather around great food, pastry, and coffee that also provided a sense of home and belonging. Tatte continues to grow with more cafes opening in Greater Boston, Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Each cafe has its own personality and style but always stay true to the original spirit of Tatte: A place of gathering that brings inspiration, comfort and joy…a place where you feel like you belong. The Grounds is built on the philosophy of creating experiences for communities through quality products, innovations and an ever-evolving vision. Located in a former industrial precinct from the 1920s, The Grounds of Alexandria opened in 2012 and houses a landmark coffee roastery, café, restaurant and bar, animal farm and garden. Our Alexandria location has become renowned as one of Sydney’s must-visit locations, having earned the title of the 7th most Instagrammed place in Australia for 2016. The initial vision was born from entrepreneurial duo Ramzey Choker and Jack Hanna who had the vision to turn the then industrial concrete car park into a thriving urban sanctuary, designed as a welcoming space to bring people together. Staged on the spectacular Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk, Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi is one of Sydney’s most popular events, with 500,000 visitors viewing over 100 sculptures by artists from around the world. Held since 1997, this free to the public exhibition captures the imagination of Sydney and its visitors for three weeks each spring and is the largest annual sculpture exhibition in the world. The exhibition generates an almost unprecedented level of goodwill among the public as they enjoy one of the most unique events in the world. The popularity of the Bondi exhibition led to the creation of Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe in Perth on Australia’s Indian Ocean coast in March each year. Staged since 2005 the Cottesloe exhibition features over 70 sculptures and is enjoyed by 220,000 visitors, making the exhibition as much a part of Perth as the Bondi show is in Sydney.
