1,290 weather radars operate across 92 countries, generating some of the most valuable environmental data on Earth. Most of it stays locked in fragmented archives, vendor-specific formats, and workflows never built for multi-year analysis or AI. AtmoScale builds the cloud-native infrastructure that gives institutions control of their own data — turning archives into analysis-ready cubes with Radar DataTree, our open, hardware-agnostic platform (built on Zarr, Icechunk, and xarray). Proven, not theoretical: working pilots across 7 countries and 3 continents — Colombia, USA, Germany, Italy, Canada, Panama, and Serbia. Modernized archives cut analysis time from ~11 hours to ~25 seconds, and move up to 5.8x less data per query. We also maintain NEXRAD ARCO, an open, continuously-updated NEXRAD dataset on the AWS Registry of Open Data.
