Back in 1985, two families came together and founded Atlas Marble, in the picturesque Greek village of Klimatia in Ioannina. While their head office is still located there, their business has expanded around the globe. Family Affair Since its inception, Atlas Marble has been a family affair and now it’s the second generation that is making its mark. There’s something about the business and its extraordinary marble that sparks an enduring passion for excellence in the hearts of the family. Success Story Atlas Marble has been successfully extracting and processing marble products and exporting them all over the world. Atlas Marble is privately owned – and this includes the administration offices, the marble cutting and processing plant and warehousing facilities. Atlas Marble is also active in the extraction of marble for its own use, from its four company-owned quarries. These are located in Klimatia, in the Municipality of Zitsa, in Ioannina, Greece, in Demiti, Zagori and Peristeri in Greece, Tinos Island in the Cycladic region in the Eastern Mediterranean and in Prilep F.Y.R.O.M.
