The district is among the most diverse public school systems in Canada with an annual enrolment of approximately 50,000 students in kindergarten to Grade 12. In addition, the Vancouver School Board provides educational programs and services to full-time Adult Education students.

Schools
The Burnaby School District operates 41 elementary and 8 secondary schools, including a range of district and provincial resource programs. During the summer months, our District provides students the opportunity to take various courses. Summer session is an opportunity for teachers, who choose to, to continue working during the summer months.
Students
The Burnaby School District supports and provides learning to 25,000 Kindergarten to Grade 12 (K-12) students and to more than 6,000 adult learners.

The Canadian International School (CIS) in Singapore provides an international education for students aged 18 months to 18 years. Founded in 1990, CIS’s unique and engaging academic, sporting, and performing and fine arts programmes bring learning to life. Challenging expeditions and enlightening service opportunities develop essential life skills, inspiring students from over 80 countries to be vibrant participants in a diverse and global society.
CIS offers all three International Baccalaureate programmes, from Primary Years through to the Diploma Programme. The CIS curriculum is benchmarked against national curricula globally, preparing students to graduate and be admitted to leading universities anywhere in the world.
