Atlantic Global Aid (AGA) is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit corporation established in August 2010 and registered with USAID. Mission: Our mission is building capacity for sustainability through regular humanitarian missions, Youth empowerment, education programs through health care training and mobilization. We support the youth in providing Livelihood training programs in leadership, community building skills, health education in HIV and STD awareness. We promote civic education and life skill development training and peace promotion. We will increase the Role of the Somali Diaspora in Relief, Development and Peace-building participation in their homelands. Our Pledge: We will collaborate with state and local governments and civic, nonprofit and international NGOs to improve the lives of the poor and help teach the youth to prepare for future leadership roles. Vision: To help foster and promote better healthier life , entrepreneurship and education of youth in selected areas of both urban and rural Africa who are suffering from illiteracy and the negative effects of malaria, tuberculosis, pre-natal vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and complications due to dirty water and lack of proper hygiene. We will build capacity among the youth and young adults to assist in improving their local communities through education programs and skill development training . e will teach youth and community leaders how to begin providing a foundation for long term improvements. We believe that educating the youth is the key to sustainable development. Background: Atlantic Global Aid (AGA) is a Maine and Massachusetts- based nonprofit corporation established in 2010 and registered with USAID for the express purpose of bringing capacity building experience, medical supplies, nutritional supplements and medical personnel volunteers to Africa to build and strengthen sustainable community development initiatives through peace-building and participatory approaches.
