At the core of AC&C's approach is an undeniable belief in empowering individuals to discover their own strengths and skills, maximize their effectiveness, and positively impact the pursuit of individual and team goals. An athletic counselor has training in both research and applied areas of sport counseling, and uses that experience in counseling, psychology, and the field of sport sciences to provide support services to student athletes and athletes in a variety of settings.
