Athena Technologies, Inc. is a small business specializing in sediment sampling and geological training. Since 1987, we have refined our vibracore technology, which has led to increased effectiveness in a range of aquatic and semi-aquatic environments. Our projects range from: geotechnical sand searches offshore of Sabine Pass, Texas; environmental sampling in San Juan, Puerto Rico; to archaeological sampling in the Everglades. Athena also provides a world-class geological training course highlighting modern depositional environments (e.g., fluvial, deltaic, estuarine, etc.), which serve as analogues for ancient oil- and gas-producing reservoirs. Petroleum geoscientists from around the world have attended the course over the span of more than 40 years, with many participants touting the effectiveness of the course, and the relevance of the information obtained to the petroleum industry.
