ATDC promoted by the of Apparel Export Promotion Council, sponsored by Ministry of Textiles has emerged as India's Largest Vocational Training Provider for the Apparel Sector with about 200 ATDCs including 62 ATDC Vocational Institutes and over 135 ATDC- SMART Centres and Skill spokes present in major Apparel clusters spread across 23 states & 120 cities Pan India. ATDC has already trained 2 lakh candidates under the ISDS, MOT, GOI and has transformed lives by providing gainful employment to youth, women & disadvantaged sections of the society under the Integrated Skill Development Scheme of MOT, GOI since October 2010 (till date). Over 75% have been placed in the apparel industry with 50% in large & SMEs and also 25-30% in the domestic industry units /self-help groups and also self-employed. ATDC has emerged as the largest Vocational Training Provider as ATDC Vocational Institutes well known for its intensive training & state of art infrastructure being a nodal agency under Integrated Skill Development Scheme (ISDS) of Ministry of Textiles, GOI in 2010 where ATDC took up the ambitious target to contribute a lion's share of MOT's overall achievement . ATDC has also established 65 Vocational Institutes as "VTPs" aligned to the Skill Development Initiative (SDI) Scheme of National Council of Vocational Training, DGT, (MSDE), 30 SKP's aligned to AICTE's NSQF (National Skill Qualification Framework) and have collaborated with RGNIYD (Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development) to impart level 5, level 6 & level 7 of NSQF for two B. Voc. Programmes viz. B. Voc in Apparel Manufacturing & Entrepreneurship and B.Voc. in Fashion Design & Retail. This makes ATDC the only organization offering shop floor, supervisory and managerial level courses within the education and training eco- system based on the "National Vocational Qualification Framework' thus covering a spectrum of courses from 300 to 3000 hrs for different tiers of Apparel Manufacturing, Design, Merchandising, Quality Management and Supervision ...
