We're part of the world's largest and oldest humanitarian Movement. We have a team of thousands of volunteers and hundreds of employees.
Our mission is to improve the lives of vulnerable people by mobilising the power of humanity and enhancing community resilience.
We are a nationwide and locally based community organisation that provides a free, confidential, and independent service to the public of information, advice, and advocacy. We work to empower people to resolve the issues they come to us with. We also use what we learn from helping people to advocate for laws and policies that protect human rights and well-being, and speak out against those that harm them.
You can access our service by calling 0800 367 222, visiting your local CAB, or via our website at https://www.cab.org.nz/.
Our service is provided by 2,000 trained volunteers, in 80 locations around New Zealand. Our volunteers are supported by a comprehensive knowledgebase and regular learning. You can find out how to become a volunteer at https://www.cab.org.nz/find-a-cab/volunteer-for-cab/.
