For more than 60 years, NASA has been breaking barriers to achieve the seemingly impossible—from walking on the Moon to pushing the boundaries of human spaceflight farther than ever before. We work in space and around the world in laboratories and wind tunnels, on airfields and in control rooms to explore some of life’s fundamental mysteries: What’s out there in space? How do we get there? And what can we learn that will make life better here on Earth? We are passionate professionals united by a common purpose: to pioneer the future in space exploration, scientific discovery and aeronautics research. Today, we continue NASA’s legacy of excellence and innovation through an unprecedented array of missions. We are developing the most advanced rockets and spacecraft ever designed, studying the Earth for answers to critical challenges facing our planet, improving the air transportation experience, and so much more. Join us as we reach for new heights and reveal the unknown for the benefit of humanity.

Slooh
Introducing an innovative new product that teaches students how to explore space via a network of online telescopes. Slooh makes offering astronomy engaging and affordable for schools without the requisite equipment or expertise on staff. We provide direct access to astronomy educators and real-time viewing and control of robotic telescopes, including seven telescopes situated at one of the world’s top observatory sites. With the dawn of the new space age, astronomy deserves more focus in schools, particularly because it is fascinating and inspiring to students. Slooh is designed to empower students in class as a part of the curriculum, and also in a co-curricular or extracurricular manner so students can explore space on their own with direct support from our astronomy educators. We are launching this new version for 4th through 8th-grade students in the fall, with funding support from the National Science Foundation. If you are a teacher or school administrator, please reach out with a convenient time for me to give you a call to tell you more about it.

SkyWatch
SkyWatch is on a mission to make Earth-observation data accessible to the world. Hundreds of trillions of pixels of our planet are captured from space every day. With new applications for this data being discovered constantly, the demand for satellite imagery across many industries is increasing. However, the current process for purchasing satellite imagery is extremely time-consuming and tedious. We experienced this problem first hand while working to predict crop yields by monitoring surface-level ozone movement. After weeks of trying to find the right data, we decided to come up with our own solution. Utilizing our past experience in building satellite data aggregation software, our team is developing EarthCache, a robust platform which allows users to discover and access the world’s remote sensing datasets. We are making it easier than ever to perform geospatial analysis by creating one source for the datasets used. Our goal is to become the leading provider of data and intelligence from space. Our team comprises of software developers, engineers, and armchair astrophysicists. We are also: global winners of the 2014 NASA International Space Apps Challenge; Google for Entrepreneurs alumni; Lead Organizer of NASA Space Apps Waterloo; members of the Canadian Space Commerce Association; members of the International Astronomical Union’s Working Group on Time-Domain Astronomy; and founding supporters and directors of MaxQ, Canada’s first accelerator focused on space startups. Our company is committed to providing equal employment opportunity and providing a work environment that is free of discrimination and harassment. We strive to offer competitive salaries and compensation. We're also very flexible and open to filling the unique needs of our employees. Proud member of the Techstars Summer 2016 cohort.
