The Astro Group is South Africa's leading aluminium surface finisher and one of the country's foremost suppliers of aluminium and aluminium products. For companies in the Transport, Building & Construction, Medical and Renewable Energy (Solar) industries, we offer quality supply, fabrication, and surface finishing for general and bespoke aluminium products. Astro Aluminium was founded in 1998 to supply aluminium extrusions to the industry. The business soon evolved to accommodate the supply of purpose specific configurations needed by certain industries. An early objective was to establish a comprehensive fabrication capability to produce high quality semi-finished and finished products to customer specifications. Astro Anodising was founded shortly thereafter to complement the supply and fabrication of aluminium. Today, Astro Anodising offers the largest selection of colours and finishes available in South Africa. We are capable of anodising work in sizes ranging from small parts or machined components up to lengths of 7,5m. Over the past twenty five years the group has grown from strength to strength widening scope to include the manufacture of our own branded products. These include Astro Quip Assistive Mobility Devices, Xrossbow Vehicle Side Steps and Tungha Bicycle Racks.
