ASTRA is a team of students from the Politecnico di Torino dedicated to creating multiple components and modules necessary for the development of a self-sufficient and operational lunar outpost. The objective of designing a lunar base entails the construction of a comprehensive system of interdependent components that guarantee the ability to sustain life on extraterrestrial planets, including the design of habitats, research into resource and energy reusability and recycling, as well as the use of robotic agents to perform tasks in concert with human counterparts.
