Assurion.ai Information

If you can run a business, you can run your own security governance. That's the belief Assurion is built on. Whether you've just realised you hold sensitive customer data and want to get organised, or you're staring down a vendor questionnaire with a deal on the line, you shouldn't need a security team or a consultant to answer for yourself. For years, the security governance industry has built its tools for enterprises with dedicated compliance teams and six-figure budgets. Small and medium businesses face the same vendor questionnaires, the same certification expectations, and the same regulatory scrutiny, with none of the support to answer them. Assurion translates frameworks like ISO 27001 and SOC 2 into plain English and guides you through implementing them step by step. But collecting evidence was never the hard part; automated tools can screenshot your configs in minutes. The hard part is being able to explain your own security to an auditor or a customer, in your own words, and know it's actually true. That's what Assurion is built to get you to, not just a folder full of files. Assurion grows with your business. A small business just starting to formalise its data practices, and a larger company working toward full ISO 27001 certification, both get a path that fits where they actually are. Assurion is built for New Zealand and Australia from day one, with local frameworks, local language, and local support. It's founded by Ger van Hees, who has spent more than 25 years in cybersecurity and believes expertise should be a safety net, not a gatekeeper. We launch in August 2026.
