We are a Catholic School established in 1850, staffed by the Sisters of Charity of St. Elizabeth and a certified lay faculty. Assumption School is the second oldest Catholic School in the Paterson Diocese. At Assumption School, we strive to bring to our students the knowledge that they are individually gifted by God and that it is incumbent upon them to realize these gifts. Through nurturing by the administration, faculty, clergy and family, each child is encouraged to achieve the optimum of his/her potential. We are aware of the changing world in which our children will journey. In light of this, we continually evaluate our curriculum to meet the demands of the future. In so doing, we endeavor to help our students face the academic challenges which will be placed upon them in their travels.
