Protéger la personne contre les risques liés à l'usage de la route, c'est notre mission centrale. Autour d'elle se greffent plusieurs mandats importants, parmi lesquels : • administrer le régime public d'assurance automobile en indemnisant les accidentés de la route et en déterminant les contributions d'assurance • faire la promotion de la sécurité routière en menant des campagnes de sensibilisation pour aider à améliorer le bilan routier • surveiller et contrôler le transport routier des personnes et des biens Contribuer à l'application de lois et de règlements, dont le Code de la sécurité routière : • Nous sommes chargés de faire appliquer le Code de la sécurité routière, la Loi sur l'assurance automobile, plusieurs règlements et, en partie, 7 autres lois.
