Association of Military Colleges and Schools of the United States Information

The Association of Military Colleges and Schools of the United States (AMCSUS) is a group of schools (college preparatory schools; two-year colleges; and colleges and universities) which provide a quality education in a military environment with emphasis on strong values, leadership development, citizenship, and service to others. While the schools are diverse in many ways, they all share a strong tradition of academic excellence and have a culture that fosters close relationships between faculty and students. Students receive individual help from faculty who are encouraged to grow professionally and whose yearly continuance depends not upon tenure, but upon proven performance and a love of teaching. They recognize that each student is unique and emphasize development of the "whole person.
