The ASFS (Association for the Study of Food and Society) was founded in 1985, with the goals of promoting the interdisciplinary study of food and society. It has continued that mission by holding annual meetings and publishing the peer-reviewed journal, Food, Culture & Society. We maintain this Facebook page as public service and outreach to the general public. Katherine Hysmith serves as the main administrator for this group as part of her role as ASFS Social Media Coordinator.
