The company was established in August 1998 at premises situated within a kilometer of Cape Town Harbour. Warren Fraser, the owner/manager, trained and later ran the rigging department of Sparcraft Masts (Pty) Ltd before moving away to start his own business as their appointed, though independent servicing agent. In August 2011 premises became available inside Cape Town Harbour and the company relocated to their new home just outside Royal Cape Yacht Club. While being physically based in Cape Town, regular trips are made to other local harbours to effect repairs and maintenance: Hout Bay, Simonstown, Gordon's Bay, Langebaan, Saldanha and Port Owen. By arrangement, other trips have been made in the past to Rio de Janeiro, Luderitz, Walvis Bay, Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Seychelles and Busan Korea, including ports closer to home such as Knysna, Port Elizabeth, St Francis Bay, Vaal & Gariep dams.
