ASSEMBLAGE Information

ASSEMBLAGE is a Northwest Arkansas-based wallcovering producer that was established in 2013, founded and operated by Christian and Heidi Batteau. The makers, and their small team of artisans, are known for creating made-to-order, customizable, luxury wallcoverings comprised of high-end, environmentally friendly materials, including gold leaf, mother of pearl, Venetian plaster, beeswax, and mica. Materials are applied using ancient Italian techniques, which can include hand-cut guides, trowels, and brushes. All of the works created by the team at Assemblage are developed in an old seed mill in Arkansas' Ozark Mountains, where the studios sole source of water is a rain catchment system. Following their development, wallcoverings are sent worldwide, and can be found in a range of private homes, resorts, showrooms, and corporate headquarters to the likes of Tiffany & Co., Chanel, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Koch Brothers.
