Aspiring Journeys Information

Marissa has been a Support Coordination Supervisor with Aspiring Journeys since their formation in 2016. She studied at Rutgers University and has Master's Degrees in Education as well as Spanish Translation. Prior to working for Aspiring Journeys, she spent 13 years teaching elementary and middle school Spanish in public school, as well as teaching English as a Second Language. She loves being part of the caring, compassionate, hard-working team we have here at Aspiring Journeys, and finds it very fulfilling to be part of the process of helping others live their best life. When she's not working, Marissa spends her time homeschooling her 2 daughters, and going hiking in the woods, boating, and going to the beach with her husband and two girls; she also enjoys cooking, crocheting, and gardening. Ana Arosemena has been working with Aspiring Journeys for 4 years. She is dedicated, understanding, and caring. Ana has a passion for helping others, assisting families to navigate different services and planning for their future. She enjoys going for walks and spending time with her family. Carissa attended the College of Saint Elizabeth. In 2008 she received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology then in 2010 went on to earn her Master's Degree in School Counseling. She previously worked at ECLC PRIDE (2010-2016) and left to start her family, but loved working with the special needs population. She began working at Aspiring Journeys Support Coordination in 2017, which allowed her to do what she loves and be with her family. She is a wife (married for 8 years) and Mother of 2 girls (age 4.5 and 1.5). She enjoys warm weather, exercising, good food and good company. Valerie began working as a Support Coordinator in 2019. She loves working with clients to help them achieve their individual goals. In addition to her work with Aspiring Journeys, Valerie is a Program Supervisor at a local day program.
