Aspin Foundations Ltd was established in 2000 to design, develop and implement revolutionary new foundation solutions for the rail industry. The solutions we developed included new methods of installing foundations using adapted road rail vehicles and specialist attachments, as well as the steel pin foundation. All the methods we developed provide substructures to support superstructures for the rail industry. Aspin Consulting Ltd was established to design the specific foundation solutions for Aspin Foundations. From advisory and design to compliance and delivery, consulting provide tailor made solutions to meet clients’ needs. Our staff are chartered members of a number of professional institutions, including the Institution of Structural Engineers and the Institution of Engineering Designers. Our business has grown both organically and through strategic acquisitions, and in 2013 McGrattan Piling and Supplies Ltd, the leading contractor in Scotland, joined the group. McGrattan added skills and expertise in the design, supply and installation of temporary and permanent sheet piling along with the supply and installation of steel bearing, king post and tubular piles. RSI Ltd joined the group in 2014 bringing specialist expertise in bridge and structural inspection, testing, repair and structural rehabilitation. Through our extensive experience, comprehensive inspection and methodical testing regimes we can provide our engineers and clients with an accurate and meaningful assessment of the condition of their bridge stock. Being able to offer all of these cross industry complementary services means that we can provide a complete service for our clients from site investigation, consulting and design to development, build, delivery and installation on site; managed and implemented in house using our own specialist plant and equipment and transported by our logistics function.
