The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) is the largest plastic surgery specialty organization in the world. The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is the largest organization in the world representing medical residents, fellows, and board-certified facial and reconstructive surgeons who specialize in the plastic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head, and neck.
The majority of AAFPRS members and fellows are certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, which includes examination in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery procedures, and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. With more than 2,000 members, the Academy is the world’s largest international association of facial plastic surgeons and the only organization dedicated solely to the advancement of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
