Asonha Energie is the operator in charge of the development of the 34MW Kinguele Aval hydroelectric project, located on the Mbei River about 100 km from Libreville. Asonha Energie is owned by Meridiam, an infrastructure investment fund, and the Fonds souverain d'investissement du Gabon (FGIS). The project, whose environmental impact assessment has been validated by the Gabonese authorities, will cover nearly 13% of Libreville's electricity needs.
