ASEQ-EHAQ Information

The Environmental Health Association of Quebec (ASEQ-EHAQ) is a registered charitable organization founded in 2004, dedicated to advancing awareness, inclusion, accessibility, and environmental health. With a growing community of more than 2,000 members, ASEQ-EHAQ supports individuals living with multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) while promoting healthier, safer, and more accessible environments for everyone. Our work includes advocacy, public education, community support, awareness initiatives, and the promotion of fragrance-free, lowest-emission, and least-toxic practices that help reduce harmful exposures in everyday life. MCS is associated with exposure to volatile organic compounds (VOCs), chemicals, and other environmental triggers that can contribute to serious health impacts. It is a recognized disability nationally and internationally. In Canada, more than 1.13 million people have been medically diagnosed with MCS (Statistics Canada, 2020). ASEQ-EHAQ believes that healthier environments contribute directly to healthier communities. Through collaboration, education, research, and action, we continue working toward greater recognition, accessibility, and inclusion for people living with MCS.
