ASA was started in Branford, CT in 1990, as ASA Fastening Systems Tools & Supply Inc., specializing in construction fasteners, tools and related supplies. In 1992, in an effort to diversify from the seasonal economic fluctuations of the construction industry and expand into a growth area, ASA Environmental Products, Inc. was created. This new endeavor specialized in unique waste reduction, pollution prevention, and spill response products and systems for the year-round industrial, utility, and marine markets. In 2001, after moving the operation to Stonington, CT, ASA Fastening Systems Tools & Supply, Inc. and ASA Environmental Products Inc were merged into a single corporation. The name ASA Fastening Systems Tools & Supply, Inc. was terminated, and the surviving name is ASA Environmental Products Inc. As a result of the merger, ASA Environmental Products, Inc. is now a single-source MBE, SDB, WBE, & DBE certified supplier of products, materials and systems for industrial, construction, environmental, government, heavy marine and utility markets nationwide.
