Nirma University was established in 2003 by the initiative of Nirma Education & Research Foundation (NERF). It is the first private University in Gujarat. It has been recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2 (f) of the UGC Act and Accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The University is one of the leading universities consistently ranked among top 10 private universities in India. Dr Karsanbhai K Patel, the industrialist and founder Chairman of the Nirma group, crystallized his long-cherished dream of providing world-class facilities for professional education in the state of Gujarat through the establishment of the NERF in 1994. He believed that an institute of professional courses imparting world-class education facilities to the youth was the need of the hour for the state of Gujarat. Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT)] is an autonomous private engineering college located in Bengaluru, Karnataka and is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University head quartered at Belgaum, Karnataka, India. The college was established in 1962 and recently celebrated Golden Jubilee. From Aug 2007, MSRIT has been academically autonomous for both Under Graduate and Post Graduate Programs.
