Arugot Information

Arugot, Child & Family Development Center was established to answer a need in the local Haifa community. At-risk children with special needs were falling behind because a center that answered their all encompassing needs did not exist. Today, a range of programs and projects provide important therapies to hundreds of children in Haifa and the environs. Entire families benefit from the help provided. Therapies help children coping with developmental delays, emotional problems and learning disabilities and ensure that they do not drop out of the school system. Parental Guidance is an integral part of the work helping parents retain the achievements attained in therapy. All treatments take place under one roof, saving parents valuable time and energy when they don't have to go from clinic to clinic. A network of special ed. preschools provides intensive early intervention to children with special needs. This program has an 80% success rate of mainstreaming graduates in regular first grade classes. Outreach programs in the community promote the importance of early intervention. Over the years programs have been established to answer the grwoing and changing needs in the community. To this end we have reached out and helped Russian immigrant adolescents and Ethiopian immigrant pupils. Our message is one of hope!
