arTour is Queensland's centre of contemporary touring knowledge. arTour supports Queensland based performing artists and producers to tour work through regional Queensland and nationally. arTour also assists Queensland presenters to program performance work for their local audiences. arTour is a key initiative to evolve out of the Coming to a Place Near You Touring Strategy (2009-2014). It began operations in January 2010 and is an independent business unit of Queensland Arts Council. In 2014 arTour is managed by Circa and supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland, part of the Department of Science, Information Technology, Innovation and the Arts.
