A home is never just a home. It’s where life happens. And we’ve been obsessed with making it a little more beautiful, comfortable and you since 2012.
Founded by Late Mr. Ambareesh Murty and Mr. Ashish Shah, Pepperfry began with a simple idea: make great furniture and home décor more accessible to everyone, everywhere.
A home is never just about furniture. It’s the sofa everyone gathers around, the dining table that doubles as a work desk, the bed that knows all your secrets, or the chair nobody is allowed to sit on. And then there are the lamps, cushions, furnishings and little décor details that make a house feel like yours.
Today, Pepperfry is India’s leading omnichannel furniture and home décor destination, helping customers create homes that reflect their personal style. Our curated assortment goes beyond furniture to include décor, furnishings, lighting, mattresses, kitchen & dining and more, bringing together thousands of regional, national and MSME brands for customers across 300+ cities.
We bring it all together through our digital platform, 150+ offline Studios across 100+ cities, robust in-house supply chain and bespoke Assisted Buying services — creating an integrated, end-to-end home shopping experience.
Our philosophy is simple: Fashion for Your Home. Because just like your wardrobe, your home should have a style that’s uniquely yours.
Pepperfry is a subsidiary of TCC Concept Limited, a technology-driven company listed on the BSE and NSE. Backed by TCC’s capabilities across technology, supply chain, digital infrastructure, cloud, PropTech and AI-led solutions, we’re building the next chapter of home and furniture retail in India.
Because ultimately, we’re not just selling furniture. We’re helping people create spaces they love coming home to.
Welcome to Pepperfry. Your home. Your rules.
In 1958, well before American companies were sourcing from India, John Bissell left his position as a buyer for Macy’s New York to work as a consultant for the Ford Foundation in order to develop India’s export potential in its emerging textile industry. What Bissell discovered was a village-based industry with a profusion of skills hidden from the world.
Determined to showcase Indian handloom textiles while providing equitable employment to traditional artisans, Bissell established Fabindia in 1960 in order to fuse the best aspects of East/West collaboration.
Fifteen years later the first Fabindia retail store was opened in Greater Kailash, New Delhi with a range of upholstery fabrics, durries and home linens. By the early eighties, we started producing garments made from hand woven and hand block printed fabrics.
Over the years the focus of Fabindia's marketing shifted from exports to the local Indian retail market. What started as an export house has today become a successful retail business presenting Indian textiles in a variety of natural fibers, and home products including furniture, lights and lamps, stationery, home accessories, pottery and cutlery. Extending this partnership to the farmers in rural areas, Fabindia launched its organic food products range in 2004. Fabindia Sana, the company’s authentic bodycare products range is also being launched at all Fabindia outlets.
Fabindia sources its products from over 15000 craft persons and artisans across India. We support the craft traditions of India by providing a market and thereby encourage and sustain rural employment. Today we have retail outlets in all major cities of India - 217 last count - in addition to 11 international stores .
