At Arthritis Clinic of Central Texas our rheumatology health care professionals evaluate your muscle and joint pain to begin a treatment plan. We are located in San Marcos, mid-way between Austin and San Antonio. Our patients’ base extends west to Dripping Springs and Wimberley and east to Bastrop, Gonzales, Seguin, Luling and Lockhart. Meet Dr. Hassan Alissa, Rheumatologist: Dr. Alissa has been practicing Rheumatology for over 15 years. He received his medical degree in 1992 from Damascus University School of Medicine, Syria. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Chicago/Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital in 1999. A couple years later he completed a rheumatology fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center. He went on to practice as a rheumatologist in southwest Missouri and Houston, TX. He came to San Marcos in 2009 when he joined a specialty clinic until he opened the Arthritis Clinic of Central Texas in 2013. He performs rheumatology based practice focusing on autoimmune inflammatory joint disorders. He is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and the American College of Physicians.
