ART WEAR DIMITRIADIS was founded in 1982 in Athens where it is still located. Eleni Dimitriadis is the company’s designer. Born in Athens, she finished her main educational studies and then she joined the workshop of a well-known painter. She began experimenting with antiques and retro materials. Gradually, her main interest became jewelry design and she devoted her artistic talents into creating a unique and avant-garde style, easily recognizable on the Greek market. In 2003-2004 Eleni Dimitriadis was asked by “Swarovski” to design a unique piece of jewelry which was displayed at major exhibitions together with designs by J.P. Gaultier,Christian Dior, Christian Lacroix, among others. An energetic passion for her work has also led her to design jewelry for many theatrical plays and movies such as “Brides” directed by Pantelis Voulgaris with the participation of Martin Scorsese. In February ΄05 the department store “Printemps” became the first outlet for ART WEAR DIMITRIADIS΄ in Paris. Today, her collections can be found in many shops in Greece, Europe, the United States, Japan, and the Arab States.
