Architects NRT Ltd is a Helsinki-based architectural firm with extensive experience in creating high-quality and sustainable architecture. Our diverse design projects include public buildings, renovation work, residential design, and interior design. Our long-term efforts, particularly in designing built cultural environments and exceptionally demanding heritage buildings, have received considerable national and international recognition. Our firm has won two Architecture Finlandia Awards (2017, 2020), two Europa Nostra medals (2006, 2007), and has been shortlisted twice for the prestigious Mies van der Rohe Award (2005, 2022). The Finlandia-awarded Harald Herlin Learning Centre and the renovation of the Helsinki Olympic Stadium, in collaboration with K2S Architects, have been significant projects for our office. In residential design, we have realised several demanding, cityscape-recognisable buildings, including those in Helsinki's Verkkosaari (the Harjuskortteli residential blocks: Harjus, Smoltti, and Kossi), Lauttasaari (the Merenkulkijanranta area), and Katajanokka (the Mastokatu block). The award-winning small houses designed by architect and professor Jyrki Tasa (House Into, Moby Dick) represent high-quality Finnish small apartment architecture. Our aim is to design new developments responsibly and to enhance the old in a way that keeps it relevant amidst change.
