We are solving problems in regulated industries in and adjacent to insurance: - A focus on big problem spaces with massive pain points - Building ventures for protection, prevention and resilience - Deep insurance domain unfair advantages, plus senior team experience (20+ studio-built venture track record), allowing ARK to both de-risk and disrupt, maximizing Big Wins and IRRs - Advisory board of 16 big hitters from the world of (re)insurance & risk We target acute painpoints: - We look for huge painpoints in regulated industries, relating to protection, risk prevention & resilience, anywhere in the world but emphasis on UK, Europe & North America - We focus on a number of broad regulated industry verticals including Fintech, Insurtech, Healthtech & Wealthtech - We focus on scalable, capital-light solutions, including B2B and B2B2C SaaS, data platforms & marketplaces, but can flex to other models - We want to build businesses that deliver a double bottom line impact (financial & social) We bring powerful venture building advantages: - A deep Tier 1 insurance network, providing deep insights into pain points & global collaboration options - Out-of-the-box GTMs & product-channel fit for pilots, POCs and scaled distribution via insurers & their agent channels - A team with significant venture building experience & track record of multiple Big Wins - Self-funded studio overheads and ideation phase, with co-investors joining for pre-seed - A strong network of venture funds to provide capital as the businesses mature
