Permanent Data Solutions builds and runs the software that keeps data online permanently. Since 2020, our products have stored billions of files and hundreds of terabytes of permanent data. We built ar.io, a permanent cloud network: independent gateways serve, index and verify permanent data, and ArNS gives it names. Anyone can run a gateway and join, and the AR.IO Foundation supports the network. We run ArDrive, the app for storing and sharing files permanently, and Turbo, an ar.io gateway that adds paid uploads. For organizations that need their own access to permanent data, we run private gateways: a dedicated ar.io gateway on our hardware for each customer. Archives, research groups, publishers, NFT platforms and app developers use our stack to keep records they cannot afford to lose. Underneath, the data is stored on Arweave: paid for once, and it persists. Much of our code is open source, at https://github.com/ar-io and https://github.com/ardriveapp.
